First Annual General Conference Of Civil Society
Presently, no national forum exists where voluntary organizations, human rights NGOs, development NGOs, community development associations, foundations, charities, faith based groups, youth organizations etc comes together annually as equal partners to exchange ideas and explore strategies to strengthen the civil society sector.

The CDCS will initiate the Annual General Conference of Civil Society (AGF). The Conference will serve as a retreat for civil society actors to reflect on their mission, celebrate their victories and set broad agenda for the sector. Year in year out, civil society actors find themselves in different fronts and trenches fighting and digging without opportunities to look at the bigger picture and the inter connectivity of the sector. The absence of this kind of annual platform is a huge vacuum that should be filled if the third sector is serious about its mission. The experience of organizing civil society shows that, those annual general meetings, when well organized, are opportunities for leadership training. Younger ones in the movement will always look up to such event with great expectation.
